del.icio.us

del.icio.us is a site that allows you to bookmark and save favorites so that you can access them from any computer, anywhere in the world. I loved this site. It enables you not only to save favorites, but network and share them with others. Check out my favorites in teaching on my del.icio.us account.

Virtual Math Manipulatives

This site is so wonderful. It offers virtual manipulatives for Math classrooms. You've got to try it.

Little Blue Clickers!

Many of you have probably seen or heard of the "clickers" I use in my classroom. There are several teachers in the district that have them and they can make life in the classroom so much easier! They're actually eInstruction Classroom Performance System responders. If you want to check out how they work, there is a new CPS 5.0 class offered at the eighth floor.

It's been a while...

Well, it's been quite awhile since I last posted anything on this site. Part of the reason is that for many reasons, IT has blocked access to blogger sites on the school network. If you don't know what I'm talking about, look at this link about internet safety by Wesley Freyer. In any case, I am excited about the fact that our district has now enabled us to post information parents, colleagues and students on our own personal "blog". I only wish that more of us made use of things like blogs, webpages, and wikis. This gives people a chance to interact outside of the classroom. Hopefully more of us will make use of this wonderful tool.
